CSA means community supported agriculture. Its a synergistic relationship between you and your farmer, and its an amazing way to connect to food, community and the land that supports you.
The way our CSA program works is simple. Members pay up-front for 16 weeks of vegetables, and then receive a share of our crop each week. We offer three CSA shares throughout the year, in winter, summer and fall. We design our shares to provide enough vegetables for your family, and we grow many varieties of over seventy different vegetables so that you can have plenty of what you like while exploring foods you may have never tried before.
Shares are picked up from one of our distribution points, which are:
-Thursdays from 4:00-6:30 at Sunseed Farm, Boyden Drive, Ann Arbor
-Fridays from 7:00-10:00am at SELMA, 722 Soule Boulevard, Ann Arbor
CSA shares run for sixteen weeks each. Each week they include between 8-15 different types of delicious vegetables. Check out the list on the right side of this page for a list of just some of the over seventy different kinds of vegetables that we grow.
Our Winter 2012 Share runs from January 12 to April 27 and includes over twenty kinds of cold-hardy greens, root vegetables and herbs from our hoops, as well as about a dozen different kinds of vegetables from our fall harvest in storage.
Our Summer 2012 Share runs from May 3 to August 17 and includes the cool season vegetables of spring as well as the full bounty of summer. You can expect everything from mustard to melons to tomatoes, corn, carrots and cauliflower, peppers, potatoes and parsley.
Our Fall 2012 Share runs from August 23 to December 7 and is our most diverse harvest season. You'll receive all the diversity of the late summer, our fall cool-season vegetables, and you'll get to experience the beginning of the winter hoophouse harvest.
